iPhone - Cannot Send Mail the Sender Address Was Invalid Error

Josie was using her new iPhone for a couple of days before she tried to send an email and received this error message: "cannot send mail the sender address was invalid."

The answer did not pop up immediately on the Mac forums, although it seemed as though many people were running into the error. Thanks to Marcus and yllib...

1) Select "Settings" on the home page
2) Select "Mail, Contact, Calendars"
3) Select the Account creating the error when attempting to send mail e.g "Josie Yahoo Mail"
4) Scroll down this page and select, under Outgoing Mail Server, SMTP
5) Turn all the Servers OFF except AT&T SMTP Server - that should be the only one ON (Turn This ON)
6) Send mail through this account!

Hope this was helpful - if so, please click on one of our sponsors! Thanks!

I'd like to echo the prior comment. This worked perfectly - other "suggestions" didn't.

Cheers.
