Keeping Our Wireless Costs as High as Possible...

Exclusive deals, long-term contracts, few competitors and high rates are great for the wireless companies (but bad for On-Site Technical Solutions and our customers) so it's not a surprise that they're going to try and get the best breaks possible from regulators.

Cue lots of money for lobbyists to continue wireless company influence from a Republican administration to a Democratic administration.

From the Wall Street Journal

Wireless Firms Dial Up Lobbyists (as long as Rupert lets me link).

We posted earlier about the dispute between ATT and Google (Google Voice on the iPhone?). Expect these battles to continue into the NEXT administration.

My take? I'd like the most innovation at the lowest prices, which I don't see coming from domination by ATT and Verizon. Reference the breakup of Ma Bell late in the last century.
