Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts

I managed to lose the hard drive in my laptop. While I wait for delivery of a new hard drive I'm using a MacBook to work and stay in touch on the Internet. I didn't realize how much I use keyboard shortcuts on the PC, and I've been trying to use shortcuts on the Mac but they don't quite work the same.

So here's a link to Apple's document with Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts. I've found this very helpful.

By the way, I really like using the MacBook. However, for our customer base it still doesn't make sense to spend the extra money on a Mac - almost double what we'd pay for the same functionality in a PC. Although we do have a couple of techs insisting that we need to look at Apple servers, and we are. Go figure!

Another by the way, losing the hard drive is an inconvenience but not a big deal because everything is backed up. Technology 101, back up as often as needed so it doesn't hurt to recover. I continue to be amazed at the number of businesses, and even individuals now with pictures etc., who either don't back up or have inadequate backups. A week or month old backup for a business is going to mean quite a bit of manual labor to recover.

Call or visit if your business is not backing up at least daily, preferably real time or with 15-minute snapshots. Having our applications in the Cloud also means I won't have to restore the applications or data to the replaced hard drive - only printer drivers.
