From Microsoft, 4 tips to help secure your smartphone

I actually don't know anyone using a Windows phone, but here are some very straightforward tips from Microsoft on protecting any smartphone. In summary:

  1. Use a password
  2. Buyer beware when installing apps
  3. Stay current with the phone OS updates
  4.  Use a find-me/wipe-me app if your manufacturer doesn't provide them with the phone.

To this I would add, watch where you browse even more carefully than on your computer. Pretty straightforward, but most people still look at their phones as phones rather than the portable computing devices they have become. Your life is on your smartphone, so be careful with it!
