Google - A new kind of computer: Chromebook

Well, it's here (June 15)! We don't necessarily recommend rushing out to buy one, especially for your business, unless you're pretty technical and enjoy being a Beta tester. We usually don't recommend buying version 1.0 of any product or software unless it's clearly cost effective. Let the pioneers work out that first set of bugs for you! Official Google Blog: A new kind of computer: Chromebook:

From eWeek: Google Chromebook Could Struggle Against Windows, iPad - Cloud Computing
The Samsung Series 5 Chromebook will retail for $429 for the WiFi-only model, and $499 for a version with a 3G radio. Acer’s WiFi-only Chromebook will retail for $349. Both devices will be available June 15 in the United States via Amazon.com and Best Buy’s online storefront.
Enjoy the competition for your computing power! In the short term it's still pretty easy to determine what computing platform works for the different roles in any business. Those lines will blur as laptops, smartphones, tablets, netbooks and now Chromebooks continue to evolve, but we'll certainly be staying on top of that for you!
