Tablet Prices Getting Reasonable for the Holidays?

I've mention before that I was expecting the competitors to the iPad to be more price competitive than they have been. Hopefully some of the sales we're seeing are an indication that those reasonably priced tablets are finally coming our way!

This post from CNET should be an indication of the same and better things to come, sooner than later!

Get a Toshiba Thrive 10-inch tablet for $299.99 shipped | The Cheapskate - CNET News:

While this item sold out very quickly - which at that price it should - but expect sales prices and then standard pricing to continue to be more competitive.

As  noted in that post:
For as long as I can remember, I've dinged the iPad and its 10-inch competitors for being way too expensive. I mean, come on, $500? That's Core i5 computer money!
I couldn't agree with him more! And with the Amazon Kindle Fire now selling, it looks like the tablet wars will finally start heating up.
