Google announced yesterday that Google Music is out of Beta. I've been using it almost since inception and it has replaced iTunes as my player of choice. I do still use iPods for my portable listening pleasure.
Google launched a new music store on Android Market and offers hundreds of free songs for the Google player library. Google music has a 20,000 song limit (apparently regardless of size - so add those albums instead of single tunes!) but purchases from their store do not count against that 20k limit.
Google was not providing support during the Beta, but when I reported a problem they immediately responded that they were looking into that specific issue and it was resolved within a day. If you haven't used Google's free products and needed support, that was a tremendous improvement. Overall Google support, especially for paid products, is light years ahead of where it was a couple of years ago.
If you haven't tried it, check it out - especially if you use a newer Android phone. Older Droids can be (are?) problematic downloading upgrades and the Google Music Player.
