SMBs - Free WiFi Everywhere!

The title is an exaggeration because I'm talking about Starbucks opening up their WiFi to anyone who is near one of their stores - for free. Until this move customers needed  to spend at least $5 on a registered Starbucks card used in the past 30 days.

This is great news for SMBs with owners or employees that spend a lot of time out of the office. If we weren't Starbucks addicts before, we now have all of these free WiFi hotspots  now available to us.

This is also good news for iPhone users - they'll be able to save their batteries and get faster Internet access with these hotspots automatically because ATT is the vendor for Starbucks WiFi.

It was interesting to see comments making fun of Starbucks for doing this and ridiculing their coffee. Seems like people either like the coffee or don't, but who doesn't love free WiFi?!?

Here is a guide to using Starbucks: Starbucks Free Unlimited Wi-Fi: A User's Guide
