New version of Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook® now available

If you've made the transition to Google Apps for your email we don't recommend syncing with Microsoft Outlook - any version. All it does is add another point of failure in your technology.

We're also moving away from Office as Google continues to beef up the Docs offering with what seems like weekly updates. It looks like I'm the last one at our company that still has some docs and spreadsheets that I have to test to see if I'll lose anything by moving to Docs.

Typically it's the older folks that don't want to make the transition to the mail web interface. So, for you old folks that want to keep Outlook, here are the link to the blog and the download as well as the Google blog entry. Downloading Google Apps Sync will automatically upgrade an existing install.
