Is It Time to Finally Ditch Your Paper Business Cards?

Here's the post from Mashable making this suggestion:

While we're all for moving businesses and people to the Cloud as quickly as possible, that movement is based on sound business (and personal, practical) criteria. We provide business solutions, not technology for the sake of technology. .

We live in a hybrid world - most of our clients have one foot int he Cloud and one foot in their old on-site on the ground network. While millions of people and businesses are moving ahead with smart devices and apps and into the Cloud, millions more will take years to make the transition. If your business model accounts for ignoring the later arriving millions, go for the latest and greatest in technology at the expense of those potential clients.

Our recommendation would be to keep your paper business cards unless your clients and potential clients are 100% enabled for the technology in that post. Being able to accept electronic business cards will simply make life easier on you.

As a technology company that needs to keep up with the latest as a service to our customers, we always need to ensure that we stay focused on solving business issues as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. That's not always with the latest and greatest.
