I've mentioned a few times it can be difficult to keep up with all the changes - usually additions or improvements - to the Google tool suite. Today I'm going to move across products with several interesting developments in the Google world. I talk about Google Drive last because it's a rumor, but I put the picture first because you probably haven't seen it yet!
Google Account Activity Dashboard
First, the Google Account Activity Dashboard is now available. I reviewed my first report yesterday. Google already has this information about you, the question is whether you want to opt-in to see it.
Giving you more insight into your Google Account activity
It's not a lot of data but it does provide a snapshot of activity and, as the Google Official Blog notes:
Knowing more about your own account activity also can help you take steps to protect your Google Account. For example, if you notice sign-ins from countries where you haven’t been or devices you’ve never owned, you can change your password immediately and sign up for the extra level of security provided by 2-step verification.
Google+ Hangouts has been improved with the API preview going live.
Google Apps Vault
Google also announced the launch of Google Apps Vault. From the Official Google Enterprise Blog:
Vault is an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for managing information critical to your business and preserving important data. It can reduce the costs of litigation, regulatory investigation and compliance actions.
Spell Checker

...today we’re launching an update to spell checking in documents and presentations that grows and adapts with the web, instead of relying on a fixed dictionary. This update has a few big advantages over traditional spell checkers.
Google Drive
And finally, Google Drive, the cloud storage product to rival Box and Dropbox and... may actually be coming to a cloud near you in April. According to TalkAndroid
...the April release date was in fact accurate, until it was recently changed to the “week of April 16th.” What’s more interesting is the earlier reported storage limit. It has been said that Google Drive will have a 1GB limit but the leaked screenshot we’ve obtained from our tipster shows otherwise. Based off of what we see below, Drive users are going to be privy to 2GB of free storage, instead of the rumored 1GB.
Whew! And rest assured, this is not everything going on in the world of Google!
