Google started as a search company and one of the functions that attracted us to Gmail and Google Apps a few years ago was search. It simply worked better than the Outlook tools available at that time. Because I no longer use Outlook, I don't want to compare the two. I do know Microsoft has improved its mail search, but Google also works even better than it did way back in 2009!
Whether you're someone who keeps too much email (up to 25 GB!) or keep your mailbox clean, you probably use the search feature quite a bit. And if you're like me, you repeat searches. Here's a video that shows how to save searches:
