Gmail - Compose a Message in a New Window

I'm back! Had a wonderful week in Boston visiting family. It was nice all week, then rained when we headed to the airport on Thursday. We were welcomed back to Mission Viejo with a nice rainstorm. The dogs were all clean, so no running in the mud for a couple of days!

Here's a quick video on opening mail in a new window with Gmail. This can be used to open an email already being viewed or to compose a new one. Simply hit the "in new window arrow" in the email, seen on the right in this image:

Here is the video from Google:

Not really sure if anyone will see this, but trying anyway. In Gmail, I use the "New Message in New Window" feature alot. But recently, it seems as though the vertical scroll bar has disappeared. So when I start filling in the address field or adding attachments, the Send, Save Now, Discard and Labels buttons get lost above the top of the window and there's no scroll bar to get them back. The only way is to resize the window vertically. I'm using a macbook pro with Safari browser. How do I get the vertical scroll bar back?
